My ten days in a wintry Morocco was a bit of a shock as I wasn't prepared to be a woman, by myself, in a country where they are known to hassle women.

I also arrived during the holiday of .... one of the biggest Muslim festivals and after being launched into a packed train by two helpful Morroccans who were living in South Africa, I sat on the floor on the way to Marrakesh.

By the end, I loved Morrocco, met up with a fantastic Canadian family who took me under their wing and could have stayed for much longer.
