It's funny, as I became more Peruvian in my thinking, Chile became that place south of the border that had unfairly robbed Peru of its waters and Bolivia of its ocean port...

Santiago de Chile also became a very familiar place as its the first port of call of entry into South America when flying from Australia.

Arica, as an overnight stay on a border run became memorable particularly for its' McDonald's and white sand beaches and ... hot dogs... Chile border runs where infintely preferable than Bolivian ones because just for a day, you were back in a "civilised" country!

Only one story from Chile, about fascinating Easter Island.
